Over Thanksgiving Break, I was in Disney Land about to eat breakfast when my dad said "Uh oh... I just got an email about a family or placement.." I grabbed his phone and looked at the email. And sure enough, there it was. "New Host Family Information"
You could imagine my excitement. I wanted to run to a computer and read all about my new family! But since we were at the park, there was only so much I could do. So far I know that I live in Nice, France about 15 minutes walking distance from the Mediterranean ocean. My parents wake board and they have three children. Two girls, one 14 and one 15, and a little boy, 4 years old. Could I ask for a more perfect placement? I live above a bakery (or small shop..not sure yet) and pretty close to the school I will be attending.
Everything is happening so fast! I got accepted by AFS-France only a couple weeks ago! Now I am thinking about my visa, when I need to go to New York, my next orientation, my family, etc. etc. All this excitement is quickly building up and its making me want to leave NOW!
Only 2 months now... counting down the days.
